Definition for : Treasury shares
Treasury shares are shares that a company or subsidiaries that it controls own in the company after buying these shares either for the purpose of stabilising the ers), i.e. as part of a Stock Option plan (see also ESOP), or simply because they were considered at a given moment to be a good Investment.
