The "European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD)" was founded in 1991 and headquartered in London (UK). The EBRD is a Multilateral Development Bank (MDB) aiming to promote economic and social development in 27 countries of Central and Eastern Europe, as well as Central Asia. Its Shareholders include 61 countries and 2 supra-national institutions. EBRD is rated AAA by S&P and Aaa by Moody's allowing access to financial markets at sub-Euribor levels. The EBRD mostly finances private enterprises, as opposed to sovereign entities.
